Usya is a youth-led organization whose strategic mission is to empower young people to reach their full potential. Empowerment is through skilling and training, building capacity in various areas of youthful life. We raise leaders who are cautious about the environment, community development, and servant leadership to bring about fundamental transformation.

Currently, we are working on a tree planting project that will oversee an increase in tree cover in Eastern Uganda. We propose to plant at least 1,000,000 trees. This project started in January 2024. Details will follow. The organisation also oversees the implementation of climate and environment protection clubs in various communities and schools. These clubs are trained and given exposure by participating in different climate change summits at the regional and national levels. The activities of the clubs include tree planting, managing waste and plastics in our communities, sensitising the public on wetlands and swamps management, pollution, agroforestry, etc.
We push and hold government to account for national and international commitments to development pathways that are both sustainable and just. This helps to create enabling environment for young people to better engage in government and inter-governmental decision mechanisms and supports young people to advocate for participation in state-led policy mechanisms
The organization runs different activities that are focused at getting the young generation to participate in matters that affect their communities. The intent is to actualize community empowerment and transformation socially, and economically
The organization exists to empower young people economically, socially and politically. Realizing that the youths are the key stakeholders of the future of African communities, we are intentional about sensitizing and educating them and coming up with programmes on societal issues as we create awareness on SGDs and providing platform for the young people to become key actors
