GENERAL INFORMATION
Usya is a youth led organization whose strategic mission is to empower young people to reach their full potential. Empowerment is through skilling and training, building capacity in various areas of youthful life. We raise leaders who are cautious about the environment, community development and servant leadership for purposes of bringing about fundamental transformation.

United Soaring Youth Africa champions the practicality of innovative ideas to tackle societal issues. 
USYA was founded by Nandera Elizabeth upon realizing that many young people are left out in many developmental government and non-government programs in her community. She set-out to be the vanguard for the young people to achieve their full potential. 
USYA started operating in 2019 as a small club of young community transformers in Busia district and it was then called United Youth Initiative Africa (UYIA). 
We currently have a presence of youth in Kampala originating from various communities around Uganda. The organization runs different activities that are focused at getting the young generation to participate in matters that affect them and their communities. The intent is to actualize community empowerment and transformation socially and economically. Our focus of empowerment is through education support, entrepreneurship training (business clubs) , special needs empowerment programs, skilling and capacity building. We sensitize, encourage and go out on action to see youths participate in drives and activities for climate change, Agribusiness, Girl-child support, reproductive health, Education, leadership and good governance.

WHAT WE DO
At USYA, we empower young people to transform communities by unlocking their potential for individual and community fulfilment. Our approach involves:
Climate Change Advocacy: Equipping youth to address climate change challenges and promote sustainable development
Youth Empowerment: Building capacities through training, mentorship, and skill development to enhance their potential
Community Engagement: Engaging youth in grassroots initiatives that foster community transformation and development
OUR FOCUS AREAS
Smart Sustainable Agriculture: Promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices and sustainable food systems. Our demonstration farm and study centre serve as a model for the community, showcasing:

• Beekeeping for environmental protection and conservation
• Agroforestry as a climate adaptation strategy
• Fish farming and other innovative agricultural practices
